Summer Reading

Students should choose one book to read (we recommend taking notes as you read). In the fall, students will write an essay about the book they’ve chosen. A carefully-crafted essay that reflects close reading of the book will earn students one (1) academic credit.  
It is the policy of Tantasqua Regional and Union 61 School Districts that no person shall be excluded from or discriminated against in admission to a public school of any town or in obtaining the advantages, privileges, and courses of study of such public school on account of race; traits historically associated with race, including, but not limited to, hair texture, hair type, hair length and protective hairstyles; color; age; sex; gender identity; religion; national origin; sexual orientation or disability.
